On October 21, 2023, we welcomed long-standing customers, travel partners and friends to the new travel agency in Lucerne as part of the Bucher Reisen customer event in Dierikon. We enjoyed interesting presentations about South Africa, Costa Rica, Norway, Hurtigruten and Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam as well as a great aperitif in the penthouse of the Hotel Astoria.
Sporty beach volleyball duo from Switzerland become "travel car godmothers"
The Swiss beach volleyball players, Anouk Vergé-Dépré and Joana Mäder, were named proud "Car Godmothers" at the traditional car naming ceremony. Our Bucher Reisen team actively supported the athletes with the planning and organization of all flights during the hectic preparation and tournament phase and ensured that the athletes always arrived home safely. Since 1 May 2023, the two tourism professionals Patrik Zibung and Urs Huwiler complement the management team and support Mario Würsch, co-owner, managing director and chairman of the board of directors. Urs Hunkeler, Managing Director of the Winter Universiade 2021, will be the ‘coach godfather’ of the new Bucher Bus in the WU2021 design. WU2021 is the second-largest winter multi-sport event in the world after the Olympic Games. It should have taken place for the 30th time in Central Switzerland from 11 to 21 December 2021.

Bucher Events receives the Destination Services Travel Partner Award 2019 for its collaboration with Next Level Performance (US agency) in planning the ‘Race to the Alps’ incentive travel program in Lausanne. The program included an exclusive evening event in Gruyères and a spectacular helicopter flight over the Matterhorn.
Patrick Hauser first ‘godfather’
