New Leadership and Responsibility Roles at Bucher Travel Inc.
Bucher Travel Inc. is pleased to announce important personnel and structural developments that will further strengthen the organization and position it optimally for the future. Effective December 1, 2025, long-standing Senior Travel Designer Tanja Schmid will assume the role of Director Bucher Incoming. She will complement the existing leadership under Karin Zumbühl, who will continue to hold responsibility as Vice President Bucher Incoming. With this new division of roles, the department gains additional strategic and operational support to ensure leadership tasks and resource-efficient operations within the Incoming business continue to be delivered in the best possible way. We extend our warmest congratulations to Tanja on this important leadership appointment.
At the same time, Bucher Travel Inc. is further developing its structure in the areas of Business Development and Sales & Marketing. Sandro Waller assumed the newly created role of Director Business Development Leisure on November 1, 2025, established as a counterpart to the position of Vice President Business Development MICE held by Renato Grieco. In this role, Sandro is responsible for the Leisure business area, represents Bucher Travel Inc. externally, and serves as a key point of contact—particularly in relation to quotations and customer enquiries.
In parallel, Moritz Steiner, in his role as Sales & Marketing Manager, will take on expanded responsibilities within the Sales & Marketing team and will act as the primary point of contact for the Bucher Travel Inc. umbrella organization. Together with Sandro and Renato, Moritz will form a strengthened leadership trio, coordinating key activities across Leisure, MICE, and Sales & Marketing even more closely. This coordinated approach creates clear responsibilities, more efficient processes, and a stable foundation for the successful further development of the business areas.
With these targeted adjustments, Bucher Travel Inc. ensures it is well positioned to continue meeting market requirements and customer needs successfully in the future.
