Expansion of the management team at Bucher Travel Inc.

The full-service travel company Bucher Travel Inc. is expanding its management team. Two tourism professionals from its own ranks have been recruited for this purpose.

Since May 1, 2023, the two tourism professionals Patrik Zibung and Urs Huwiler complement the management and support Mario Würsch, co-owner, managing director and chairman of the board of directors. The two executives are long-standing employees of the company and already manage a department. Both are familiar in detail with the peculiarities of the company and are well prepared for the extended tasks.

Two experienced personalities

Patrik Zibung, a qualified management expert and transport manager, is responsible for the Bucher Bus department with around 50 employees and a state-of-the-art fleet of 29 vehicles (limousines to coaches). Urs Huwiler, a graduate of the Swiss Hotel Management School in Lucerne, is Director of Sales & Marketing and responsible for the global sales and marketing activities of all business units.

"Due to the steady growth of the company in all departments, the expansion of the management team was the logical consequence," Fredi Daumüller, co-owner and member of the Board of Directors, elaborates. "We are proud that we can complement the management with our own and experienced personalities", adds Mario Würsch.

With the appointment of the new members of the management team, the board of directors of Bucher Travel Inc. wants to provide in-depth support to the operational areas and retain the existing knowledge. Furthermore, impulses will be taken up more broadly from inside and outside the organization and functions can be further developed accordingly. The restructuring will move the organization forward as a whole.
